1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the JobMela platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the platform.
2. Platform Description
JobMela is a job fair (mela) management platform that connects job seekers with employers through organised, time-slotted interview events. The platform provides job listing, candidate matching, interview scheduling, and event management services.
3. User Accounts
- You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account.
- One person may maintain only one account. Duplicate accounts may be merged or removed.
- Company accounts must complete KYC verification before accessing certain features.
4. Job Seeker Obligations
- Provide truthful information in your profile, resume, and applications.
- Honour booked interview slots. Repeated no-shows may result in account restrictions.
- Do not apply to positions for which you are clearly unqualified with intent to waste employer time.
- Respect the confidentiality of interview feedback and company communications.
5. Employer Obligations
- Post genuine, non-discriminatory job listings with accurate descriptions.
- Complete KYC verification and provide valid business documents.
- Declare interview results within the committed timeframe (typically 48 hours).
- Do not collect fees from candidates for job placements through the platform.
- Treat all candidates with respect and professionalism during mela events.
6. Mela Events
- Interview slots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Cancellation of booked slots must be done at least 24 hours before the event.
- JobMela reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events due to unforeseen circumstances.
- Attendees must follow venue rules and conduct themselves professionally.
7. Prohibited Activities
You may not:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent job listings or profile information.
- Harass, abuse, or discriminate against other users.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or platform systems.
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the platform without permission.
- Impersonate another person or entity.
8. Intellectual Property
All platform content, design, logos, and software are the property of JobMela and its licensors. Users retain ownership of content they upload (resumes, company logos, etc.) but grant JobMela a licence to display and process it for platform purposes.
9. Limitation of Liability
JobMela acts as a facilitator between job seekers and employers. We do not guarantee employment outcomes, interview results, or the accuracy of employer or candidate information. JobMela shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform.
10. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or repeatedly fail to honour commitments (e.g., chronic no-shows). Blacklisted users may be restricted from future mela participation.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Hyderabad, Telangana.
